We design and manufacture complete digital decoration solutions for packaging manufacturers, converters and end-users. Our unique printhead and chemistry system is protected globally by over 200 patents. The Tonejet team has an extremely rare breadth of know-how in printhead physics, ink and coating chemistry, printer engineering and the vital inter-disciplinary niches that connect them.
We are beginning with the beverage can and rigid tube market, driven by the huge demand for digital packaging innovation from both the craft beverage sector and major consumer brands. We are also developing products for the flexible packaging sector, where our super-thin ink layer and food-safe chemistry set us apart from traditional inkjet competitors.
We grew out of TTP, the leading UK technology company which has a 30-year history of inkjet technology development for many of the world’s leading OEMs. We remain a wholly owned subsidiary of TTP Group.
Rob has over 25 years’ experience in digital printing systems design and business management, gained at TTP whilst consulting for a wide range of inkjet OEMs. He was a founding director of Meteor Inkjet Ltd and managed its sale to Global Graphics in 2016
Will has 20 years’ experience of product development practice and leadership across many different industries, notably digital printing. He combines technical depth with a commercial understanding built through running time-critical multi-million pound projects
Prior to joining Tonejet, Phil was CTO of Carclo Diagnostics (developing microfluidic diagnostic technologies) and CTO of Conductive Inkjet Technology, where he conceived and developed a range of digital and photolithographic roll-to-roll manufacturing technologies
Prior to joining Tonejet, Jonathan was CTO of Solar Press, a startup developer of low-cost, flexible, printed solar panels. Before that he led Strategic Innovation at Cambridge Display Technology, the pioneer of inkjet-printed, polymer-OLED technology. Jonathan has a Physics PhD gained at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge.
